The program is taught in the conveniently located Center for Innovative Technology building on the Fairfax–Loudoun border and at Mason in Loudoun. College of Education and Human Development
The College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) offers a master’s program and doctoral study for teachers, administrators, and other school professionals. Many of the master’s programs of study are designed around cohorts of students who are engaged in similar work and tailored to local contexts. A select variety of courses are offered at Mason in Loudoun from the Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education and Integration of Technologies in Schools concentrations. College of Nursing and Health Science
Graduate Degree in Nursing
Nurses who have completed 63 general education credits and demonstrated substantial involvement in professional nursing within the two previous years are eligible to apply for the accelerated RN-to-MSN Degree Program. Mason in Loudoun is pleased to offer a select number of courses in this program in the evenings for the convenience of Loudoun area residents. Volgenau School of Information Technologies and Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Volgenau School of IT&E offers an assortment of credit-bearing graduate courses at Loudoun that may be applied to the Master of Science in Telecommunications degree. In subsequent semesters, students may need to attend Mason’s Fairfax Campus to complete certain specialized courses and laboratories. Students will acquire broad knowledge and skills in networking, wireless communications, and satellite communications. Professionals with such skills are in demand by the employers in the region. The School of Management offers several courses at Mason in Loudoun that lead toward the popular business minor. A 15-credit program, the minor draws on the school’s core courses to provide exposure to contemporary business concepts and practice and the skills needed for success in the rapidly evolving world of business. Undergraduate Degree in Health Science
The BS in health science prepares students for jobs as managers and clinicians in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and medical technology and supply organizations. An accelerated pathway for graduates of allied health technical programs accommodates the needs of the adult learner. The pathway in health systems management will be offered at Mason at Loudoun. Following completion of the general education requirements, students are admitted to the major.
Volgenau School of Information Technologies and Engineering
The Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering offers credit-bearing courses at Mason in Loudoun that may be applied to the information technology (IT) major, which prepares graduates to apply IT skills to support business processes. Mason in Loudoun offers the three core courses that will lead to a minor in IT. These courses also build toward the BS in information technology that is completed at the university’s Fairfax and Prince William Campuses.
