The reception desk serves as the primary source of information pertaining to George Mason University, Mason in Loudoun, the surrounding community, campus maps/directions, directories, phone numbers, daily activity lists, announcement postings, and current hours of operation for support services.

Building Hours

Monday–Friday: 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

No swipe card or key is required for entry.

Classroom Access/Support

Classrooms are unlocked by building security prior to scheduled class times. Faculty members who require classroom access at other times may contact Mason in Loudoun staff at loudoun@gmu.edu or 703-993-4350. No key or swipe card is required.

All classrooms are electronic and fully equipped with document cam, VCR, DVD, projector and computer, laptop connectivity, touch-panel control device, sound systems, and a telephone for instructor use. Computer classrooms are equipped with a computer at each seat, and non-computer classrooms feature wireless network connectivity.

Easels and whiteboard markers are available upon request from Mason in Loudoun Administration at loudoun@gmu.edu or 703-993-4350.

Drop-In Workstations

Location: First Floor Lounge and Second Floor Lounge
Monday–Thursday:  8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday:  8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday:  8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The lounges contain computer workstations for use by all Mason faculty, staff, and students. Each lounge has three workstations equipped with PCs for preparing assignments, conducting research, and other academically-related pursuits. The pay-to-print capability is offered in the second floor lounge. Printers are used by swiping a Mason ID card, departmental copy card, or cash card. Mason Money may be added to swipe cards via the Mason Money website.

Contact the Loudoun Information Technology Services (ITS) staff at 703-993-9379 for IT/desktop support or assistance.

Room/Space Requests

Academic Room Reservations: Classroom requests/reservations should be scheduled via the scheduling coordinator within each academic unit. Instructors should contact their scheduling coordinator for room conflicts or space change requests. Ad hoc room reservations are made through Mason in Loudoun administration at loudoun@gmu.edu.

Non-Academic Room Reservations: Requests are handled by Mason in Loudoun Administration/Events Scheduling at loudoun@gmu.edu.
