Mason in Loudoun - aims to connect students and businesses in one of the nation's fastest growing areas to one of the Commonwealth's premier universities. The goal of Mason in Loudoun is to provide courses that will introduce the Loudoun-area workforce and residents to study in a number of exciting areas, while offering current students a local option toward completion of degree program requirements.

Mondays and Thursdays of each week indicated below, students at Loudoun will enjoy and appropriate beverage and healthy snack with takeaways that promote the theme of the week.

Wednesday, Feb 1
Spring Semester Welcome event: Homecoming and Introduction to the theme of the semester: The Loudoun Instructional Site: A Well-being Campus. Students and faculty will enjoy a healthy and easy slow-cooker dish (Hearty Vegan Slow-Cooker Chili) and pick up the recipe while enjoying each other’s company, learning about the Homecoming calendar, getting acquainted with what Well-Being means to them and talking about how Mason in Loudoun can be a part of that.

Mardi Gras/ Black History Month

Students and faculty will enjoy a healthy and easy slow-cooker dish (Cindy's Snappy Sensational Superfood Soup) and pick up the recipe while enjoying each other’s company, learning about the music and traditions of the Mardi Gras season and honoring local Black History.

Leap Day

Students and faculty will enjoy a healthy and easy slow-cooker dish (Vegetarian Cassoulet) and pick up the recipe while enjoying each other’s company and learning about the various ways humans come to know time (and maybe ways to get around it:)

Daylight Savings, Spring Approaches

Students and faculty will enjoy a healthy and easy slow-cooker dish (Jamaican Red Bean Stew) and pick up the recipe while enjoying each other’s company, and get some nutritional information on how to ease into spring successfully.

Wednesday, March 28
National Nutrition Month

Students and faculty will enjoy a healthy and easy slow-cooker dish (Quinoa Corn Chowder) and pick up the recipe while enjoying each other’s company and learning the latest in good nutrition from Mason’s Registered Dietician.

Wednesday, April 11
The Approaching International Week

Students and faculty will enjoy a healthy and easy slow-cooker dish (Mung Dhal Vegetable Stew) and pick up the recipe while enjoying each other’s company, celebrating global diversity and learning about the fun, fantastic and educational jam-packed International Week that is one of Mason’s finest traditions. Graduates who want to may be fitted for caps and gowns, hoods and tassels, and place their order for pickup on May 2.

Mason Week/Testival

Students and faculty will enjoy a healthy and easy slow-cooker dish (Chickpea Curry) and pick up the recipe while enjoying each other’s company, preparing for a family friendly Mason Week, and learning about caring for testicles. Almost all of us know and love someone with themJ Graduates who want to may be fitted for caps and gowns, hoods and tassels, and place their order for pickup on May 2.

Graduation Fair/Finals prep

Students and faculty will enjoy a healthy and easy slow-cooker dish (Lima Bean Vegetable Stew) and pick up the recipe while enjoying each other’s company, celebrating the end of the semester and those that are graduating. Graduates will be able to pick up their Commencement Regalia.
